The Foletta Story
A Taste of Tradition
A family-run café & bar nestled in a shop front dated back to 1480 in the heart of the Cotswolds! Here, you’ll find a cozy atmosphere filled with charming antiques and a menu brimming with cherished family recipes and nods to England, Australia, and Italy. Two sisters and our mother, the space and menu is filled with lots of stories of heritage and meaning. Join us for a delightful experience where every bite tells a story and every visit feels like coming home.
Rooted in our heritage
"Foletta" is primarily a surname of Italian origin, believed to be derived from the Latin word "folium" meaning "leaf." The early bearers of the name may have been involved in farming or land management. Our lineage with the name abides by this theory, its earliest origin within our family in farming in Italy many, many years ago. Farming has been woven into our family’s story ever since and it’s remained close to our hearts through the generations.
